Adobe and redwood, the principal materials of this ranch type house blend happily with one another and with the outdoors, to which the interior is linked by ample glass openings.
Its floor is at ground level, continuously surfaced (with patio tile) indoors and out. Changes in floor level and roof line accommodate it to the contours of its sloping site. On the uphill side it opens to patio, garden, and play yard, with shade for hot summer days.
