Let's take a look at a very pink 1957 kitchen

This very pink 1957 kitchen belonged to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jacobson of Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Island is a big 5x6 feet, the ultimate in workability, storage and appearance. Cooking top is surrounded by stainless-steel surface - grand for hot pans. Plug-in griddle is extra cooking companion.

Coral laminate plastic on eat bar, "wall" counters and space between upper and lower cabinets introduces color, is easy to cleen.

Breakfast an snacks are simple with an eat bar cooking top. Note that eat bar is table height (30 inches) for comfortable sitting and eating. Built-in television is located for best all-around kitchen viewing while Mrs. Jacobson goes about her tasks. Here family catches favorite morning show during breakfast. Niche for TV opens to stairway behind wall so television can slide out for repairs when needed.
