The Idea Home was a kit house built around the concept of putting the day areas of a residence in the middle of the building in an "activity center". This prefab house was provided in 4 models. Today we present you model A (1.730 sq.ft.).
Concrete brick teams with a rough board-and-batten siding and a wood-shake roof for a texture contrast. The single roof line unifies the home; open rafters let the sun create a play of shadows on the front wall.
The night wing features a master suite with its own fenced garden. Children's rooms are near their bath and washer-dryer. Two-way fireplace in the living-dining rooms os a focal point for both areas. The private side of the house opens wide to a terrace and garden. Open space in the roof indicates a sheltered outdoor sitting room just off the living-dining room.
