The 2nd in the Idea Home series had a hip roof, shingle siding and large windows. The entry is at the corner of the "L". Garage and carport are out front, joined to the house by an overhead grille. 

The daytime areas of the house open wide to the rear yard, where privacy can be developed behind a fence or hedge. In contrast, bedrooms are more secluded. The walkway from the front courtyard to the rear terrace is shaded by an overhang. A massive chimney emphasizes the long low line of the roof. 

The living-room has been opened to an enclosed garden next to the carport. The bedroom wing stretches out, with three in-line rooms and their baths.
