The fake furs of 1950

While, for the desperation of many leftists and environmentalists, I support the use of NATURAL fur, i do find those fake furs from september 1950 very interesting.

The rise of pelt prices after the war and the 20% excise tax on furs that never materialized forced the designers to adapt and offer the middle class fake fur clothes. While the looks were good, those clothes didn't had the feel, warmth, durability and textures of the real ones and also didn't fare well in rain or snow conditions...
