Sunset Homes: a house on a sand dune | architect: Lutah Maria Riggs

This house sits on a sand dune, almost completely surrounded by decks which widen out for outdoor living space to the front and the rear.

Each bedroom has a bath and each bath has an out- side entrance so sand isn't trailed through the house.

Most of it can be washed off outside under a hot shower so it doesn't drain into the septic tank. The fireplace is on the street side so the living room has an uninterrupted view of the ocean. Sitting in the living room, all you can see beyond the deck is water.
