This house of 2,400 square feet gives a surprisingly spacious effect, due in part to the two-story high living room, an open staircase, and an all-purpose mezzanine that shares the view. The house achieves an interesting relationship of high and low areas by the use of exposed framing and medium-pitch roof. Projecting decks on two levels across the front of the house open the rooms to the outside. The house was an award winner in an A.I.A.- Sunset Western Home Awards program.
