Sunset Homes: a house designed by HOOPER, OLMSTED & EMMONS

Floating comfortably over its site, this country house uses a living house-sleeping house pavilion-type plan, but one bedroom is in the living element. Rooms open to floor-level, roofed decks, which join the two sections.

The house is carefully oriented for maximum sunshine on the living side of the house. Grading was kept to a minimum. The house was an award winner in an A.I.A.- Sunset Western Home Awards program.
