Do you remember those fantastic art deco store fronts, theater marquis and gas stations from 30s and 40s photos and movies? Well there's a high chance that those were made by Pittco, from the metal frame to the glass, lights and paint coatings, (Pittco Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co.) offered full store fronts revamp. At one point they were the 2nd paint manufacturer in the U.S. and held 65% of the american glass market. The company still exists today under the name PPG Industries - the largest coating company in the world.
So I have for you today a showcase of their work in the year 1936.
