Traditional meets modern in this 1951 house. Basementless except for one small room to house furnace and water heater, its laundry and most of its storage areas are upstairs. Awning windwos all around mean youdon't have to sprint around closing them every time it rains. The bathroom has to areas. One has the sink, toilet and a closet, while the other one has the bathtub. Outside the varying reds of old brick - accented by the white of carport and trim - stand out handsomly against backdrop of pines and oaks. The carport is angled so its louvered wall can provide privacy for the terrace.
Two walls of the big living room are finished with the same light pine used on the entrance alcove. This room is no trafffic artery; you don't have to go through it to reach any other room in the house.
Rough brick of fireplace wall and the smooth, waxed brick of the dining room floor offers a pleasing contrast in texture.
