1954 crab imperial recipe

1 lbs. fresh or canned crab meat

1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper

2 tbsp. finely chopped pimenta

1/4 cup Miracle Whip Salad Dressing (or similar)

3 egg yolks

 1tsp. onion juice

1 tsp. salt

dash of cayenne

Bone and flake the crab meat; combine with green pepper and piemento. Blend together the 1/4 cup whip, egg yolks, onion juice and seasonings. Add to the crab meat mixture and toss until well mixed. Pack into custard cups and unmold into casseroles. Top each with a tablespoon of whip and sprinkle with paprika. Bake in moderate oven, 400F, 20 to 25 minutes.
