Hunt's meat loaf recipe from 1950

 For your hungry family Hunt's has this great 1950 recipe for meat loaf. For this delicious recipe you need:

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef

1 cup of fresh bread crumbs

1 egg, beaten

1 medium sized onion, chopped

1 1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

1/2 can tomato sauce

Lightly mix ingredients and forma loaf. Place in shallow pan in moderate oven (350deg). While it's starting to bake, combine the following to make a tart-sweet sauce.

1/2 can of tomato sauce

2 tbsp. vinegar

2 tbsp. mustard

1 cup water

 2 tbsp. brown sugar or malasses

Pour over meat loaf in oven; continue baking 1 1/2 hours longer, basting occasionally. Serve 6 lucky people.
