This house has been neatly divided into three distinct areas, each designed for true living convenience. Most of the basement is devoted to hobby and play space and it’s roomy enough to accommodate nearly every leisure time activity. For the men in the family there is a hobby work shop with a work bench in the rear and plenty of floor space for major equipment. In the laundry you can have a washer and dryer and a sink and the lady of the house might like to use the rest of this spacious room as a sewing center or garden room or perhaps a combination of both.
There is a dark room included in the plan which could also be used as a storage closet for assorted sports and hobby equipment. The game room-play room has stairs to the main floor which are conveniently close to the rear entry. Shown in the plan is one idea for arranging various skill games, the kind that will amuse and delight both children and adults, but you will, of course, enjoy planning the room to suit the particular tastes of your own family. In the play room there is a refreshment bar which is a handy extra when entertaining. There are four big windows in all making both rooms delightfully bright and pleasant during the daytime play hours.
Three bedrooms occupy a secluded area of the first floor. The master bedroom has double exposure windows, a walk-in closet and a private bath with a vanity sink and an enclosed shower. Bedroom 2 has double exposure windows, bedroom 3 has a double front window and both rooms have double closets with sliding doors. The easy-to-work-in kitchen features a dinette space near the double window. Formal entertaining becomes a positive pleasure in the lovely living room with its bay window and fireplace and in the dining room where sliding glass doors open on a sheltered flagstone porch.
