Property of Mr. and Mrs. Norman P. Kent, Fairfield, Connecticut | architect: Burton Ashford Bugbee
SWIMMING in their own pool, sunbathing and barbecues on their secluded terrace and the gentle pleasure of watching the seasons change, pattern the lives of the Norman P. Kents from May to November. Because architect Burton Ashford Bugbee put wide window walls in three sides of their Fairfield, Connecticut house, the Kents enjoy wonderful views. of woods and water indoors as well as outdoors. The broad terrace is really an extension of the big living room. Both have the same bluestone flooring and both are used for meals and entertaining.
Mr. Kent (an advertising executive), Mrs. Kent (Helen Trenholme of The Watch on the Rhine and other plays) and their little daughter comprise the household. They have a house ideal for summer living. The well engineered plan gives them a large living room, a compact kitchen; flooring materials, wood walls, built-in furniture. require only a minimum of care and take hard usage.
