This is a very exciting house plan and one that is sure to be tremendously popular. First of all there is an exterior of clapboard and board siding, set off with a fieldstone chimney, planter and wall. The flagstone porch at the front is protected by a roof extension and trimmed with decorative pillars. Note the simplicity of the window treatment, which insures that every room will be bright and airy; in addition there is a glass panel next to the front door which helps to light the center hall. Then there is a wonderful floor plan that provides for every luxury necessary for complete livability. When guests arrive, hang their wraps in the coat closet in the hall and welcome them to the living room which is just to the left. With a picture window at the front and a fireplace with full width raised hearth at the rear, this room will be a pleasure to decorate and entertain in. The same holds true for the dining room, which has two big windows at the front and ample floor space for the most elegant of formal meals. The efficiency kitchen shares a snack bar and a barbecue fireplace with the family room, it has a built-in oven and a counter-top range and the window above the sink looks out on the dining alcove of the porch. The family room has three big windows facing the porch as well as a door to that area, and for play time or informal entertaining or relaxing, both places cannot be surpassed.
