Sunset Homes: a hillside home by Homer Delawie

This is a simple house on a 25-foot-wide hillside lot where all living and sleeping areas are confined to one floor. Storage and parking are provided below. Because of a nearby freeway and next-door apartments, the architect closed the south wall, except for translucent light panels. Light also enters from an interior garden court opening on the living area, master bedroom, and hallway. A window wall in the living room in the rear provides a harbor view. The house was an award winner in an A.I.A.-Sunset Western Home Awards program.
