The indoors and outdoors are so closely related they can be enjoyed simultaneously. Yet the house does not require a large property due to its circling the patio. It is a small outdoor area to maintain easily and beau- tifully. Where winters are severe evergreens will do.
The lounge is small, but there is a large playroom below the living-dining room. Note two interior sketches, one looking toward terrace, the other over porch.
Everyone likes the treatment of dining area and the outdoor grill. Exterior is siding with brick veneer over the left-front wing. Floor plan rambles within a width of 67 feet and depth of 61 feet. It covers 1700 square feet, excluding porch and garage. Note an alternate kitchen-porch plan for those who wish to build on a concrete slab.
Living room view looks into lounge at right, porch at left, and at panel partition enclosing dining area where there is ample room for a large table setting. Walls and panels are natural plywood, the latter painted inside to match or contrast with dining walls. Walls angle to make the most of space and views.
Below is a view of living room showing mantel and comfortable arrangement of furniture looking onto patio through sliding glass panel.
