Your new homes: honeymoon cottage with a future

This is a minimum house for honeymooners, but it has provision for a future bedroom and garage, which will serve not only to enlarge the house, but to wall in the terrace at the rear. The house itself has a simple, open plan. The coat closet, to the right of the entrance forms a little vestibule, sheltering the dining area at the same time. There is, in the living room, a large fireplace, and a window wall and door to the inviting terrace, well screened by greenery.

The back door opens, not into the kitchen, but into the utility room-laundry, which takes the place of a full basement. This is an economy feature and a step- saver for the housewife. Outside, the fieldstone front is a nice contrast to the white siding and bright blue shutters. The covered entrance invites the guest in, and the house makes him glad he came.
