The Plaza

The Plaza exemplifies what we mean by "streamlining" in modern house design. This unusual design has smart styling to make it something of a showplace in any community. Notice that everything is "under cover." Even the terrace leading to the front entrance in the illustration above is protected by the sweep of the overhanging roof. The dominant note is the big Scenic window that virtually brings the outdoors right into the living room. Variety is achieved by the way the living room is projected out beyond the house line, protected by the gabled roof. Another modern note is the garage set- back which permits a second window in the dining room of both plans. Modern as this design is, a traditional note is achieved in the cedar "shakes" used for the exterior. The use of cut stone as shown in the illustration is optional with the purchaser.
