Plan 2420

"A house that grows" is what architect Elmer Gylleck calls this smart little contemporary ranch. You can build it as three-bedroom house (as shown in floor plan), or ( as shown in sketch) with two bedrooms and an option of adding the third later. Concrete block, a worthwhile building material, provides a good-looking exterior; it's used in contrasting standard and split-block sizes. Indoors, two architectural devices act as divider-screens - planter box for bedroom area and grille between kitchen and living room. The 2-bedroom house is 990 sq. ft.; the 3-bedroom version is 1,196 sq. ft.
