This design, situated on a south facing lot, provides the living room with a sun visor as a result of the wide overhang of the roof. The high summer sun is kept out, while the low, desirable winter sun is allowed to flood the living area. The service door is strategically located adjacent to the carport, the basement stairs, and near the kitchen.
