A beautiful 1942 home, architect Cedric Start built for his family in Hollywood, Florida. Plans and interior photos provided.

The walls and roof of our bright sun-washed home are off-white, with turquoise accents. Below: Framed like a lovely picture high in the living-room wall you sec our studio-bedroom

Small but capable is our sky-blue kitchen (below) with its gleaming white cupboards and cherry-red accessories. The glass top in the door slides down to let in air. We also like the unusualness of the peaked ceiling

A modified studio ceiling adds to the spaciousness of our long living-room (beloe). Looking from the kitchen, your eye is taken by the clean-cut simplicity of the green-veined marble mantel and its glass-block window.
