Richards Department Store, downtown Miami

In 1939 Richards opened in a 7-storey building in downtown Miami, that was previously (1926) occupied by Cromer-Cassell Co and later by the New York Department Store. . In the mid1940s the building gets a modernist new facade. In 1951 the entire building was remodeled and expanded, making it basically a new 6 floors structure. The massive streamlined building was entirely air-conditioned.
