Ralph's Restaurant, Centralia, Washington

Centralia is a small city in Lewis County, Washington, along Interstate 5 near the midpoint between Seattle and Portland, Oregon. Not to be mistaken with Centralia Pennsylvania - the ghost town that was turned to ashes by the coal fires beneath it.

Ralph's Restaurant was opened on march 1956, and soon become an institution. It was famous for its seafood, steaks and chicken sandwiches. It also had a soda fountain. Ralph's was a family business, being owned by Ralph and Wilma Greenfield.
