During the 1950s and 1960s Smirnoff Vodka had a fantastic advertising campaign. Smart, interesting and very artsy. But during those time, mostly thanks to the genius of Handy Jam and the love for arts from Shell, famous photographers and painters entered the advertising business and made those decades memorable.
But Smirnoff madeone step ahead and went for almost surrealistic ads, rarely showing a celebrity, or even a simple person. But in 1955 they choose an iconic character both on and off screen to appear in one of their printed ads. It was non other than the legendary Vincent Price.
