1939 - Pan Am's base at Isla Grande, Puerto Rico


Old Spanish fortifications and a modern American skylines look down on the Isla Grande headquarters of the Neutrality Patrol. Seven of the twelve flying boats assigned to Puerto Rico are drawn up back of the hangar. Daily the patrol the Caribbean area. across the harbor the cruisers Tuscaloosa and San Francisco are docked.
