Up untill now I've shown you quite a large number of 1950s Garlinghouse homes along with their floor plans. And there are more to come in the future as I got a large lot of booklets. But now i'm showing you the most interesting one. This house was desgined and built by the company for its boss, Mister L. F. Garlinghouse himself. House plans on the link in the comments section. I have to say that I'm surprised that he opted for a more conservative design instead of one of the more MCM-styled ranches that the company had in the portfolio.
Back of the large living room is the dining room overlooking the garden, and the kitchen with its many built-in cupboards and cabinets, also a beautiful circular breakfast nook. The combination utility-work room has been equipped with a built-in desk, sewing cabinet, and half-bath. The wing on the left contains the library which has a fireplace and tiers of bookcases; the guest room; bath; and master bedroom with private bath.
