A 1966 Pasadena home with an outstanding fireplace

This lovely 1966 home from Pasadena, California has one amazing feature - the magnificent fireplace. The chimney and fireplace wall makes this house stand out, while the other redwood walls complement the design.

Nearly every area opens to the secluded patio. From left to right, there are the doors from the master suite, hall and living-room entry. The workshop behind the garage also has access to it.

This sheltered entry gallery connects the house and garage and protects the outdoor living area, which is reached though the door at the left.

The magnificient fireplace stone wall makes this living room bigger than its 20x18 feet. The fireplace wall is a fully 20 feet long On the entry at right, the ceiling drops, helping define the hall and also masks heating ducts and structural supports.
