One home plan - two facades, year: 1938

This is an interesting project, as the architect, Theodore Whitehead Davis offers two variants for the facades: wide siding or brick.

It's a cottage of early american inspiration. The design is very simple, yet the proportions have been carefully studied to make the house comfortably accommodate a family of three or four. The coat closet is near the front door. The ebdroom closets are large. The linen closet in the hall is handy to the bathroom and both bedrooms. In the kitchen the supply closet and the dish cupboard give full storage room. At the front of the cellar stairs there is a large preserve and storage closet. The piepless furnace requires only one register in the living-room floor. Beneath the living-room there is space for a game room, a space that has two windows to give enough light.
