While most of the house plans and designs that i showcased until now are on generous or medium-compact lots, this one from 1949, signed by architect Irvine Godlstein, A.I.A., is placed on a very narrow lot that forced the architect to go for a very long house. This property was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eisenbach from Brentwood, CA.
Bray-brown walls, oatmeal-colored rug, redwood trim and ceiling form a restful, subdued background for colorful fabrics and for view thru fixed windows of living area.
Dining set is finished in driftwood tones that catch muted shades of rugs and walls. Under light through is an Italian credenza balanced by Seventeenth Century chairs.
