A compact 4 bedroom house

This is a compact yet cosy 4 bedroom house by architect Bertram Weber. The living room is 17x 12 1/2 but you'll find that the irregular shape makes it feel larger. Te front door opens into one corner, where a 4-foot book-case. At the other end of the room is a glass wall. French doors give quick access to the porch and good ventialtion during summer. The kitchen is small but efficient. A row of glass block at counter height lights work space and windows over the sink light the whole room. The back door is only a few feet away, at the head of the basement stairs.

Living room is the center of activity. Near the two downstairs bedrooms is a bathroom with a tub-shower combination. Upstairs are two more bedrooms and space for a second bathroom. All bedrooms have cross-ventialtion. Closets are placed to give you free hand in furniture arrangement. The only basement parition is the wall between stairs and laundry.
