The Minneapolis based company Pillsbury was, untill 2001 one of the world's largest producer of grain and vegetables based products.
The company had 2 brand icons that are now part of the pop culture - Doughboy and Jolly Green Giant, both created by the amazing advertising company Leo Burnett Worldwide.
In the 50s they went on a "shopping spree" and acquired Burger King, Steak and Ale, Bennigan's, Godfather's Pizza, Häagen-Dazs, and Quik Wok, while also starting their own retail chain Green Giant.
At one point in time the Pillsbury A-Mill was the largest in the world.
