No. 6429—This house is constructed of concrete "bricks," so named because they are much smaller than the average concrete block used in residential construction. When used in a modern design such as this hipped-roof five-room suburban, they create an extremely pleasing appearance. This house is excellently arranged for the average small family. The kitchen, with its continuous cupboards, is highly efficient. The front bedroom has two closets of wardrobe size giving an unusual amount of storage space. Casement windows are used throughout.

No. 6298—Excellent wall space for furniture arrangement is a feature of the design for this small house due to the careful planning of the traffic pattern. Both bedrooms are well-proportioned and have double closets. There is a large general-purpose storage closet in addition to the utility room.

No. 6283—Its simplicity of lines assures moderate initial cost for this house and its brick construction means low maintenance over the years. Ample dining space is provided in the large combined living and dining space. Heating and laundry facilities are placed in the well-located utility room. Because there is no basement additional storage space is made possible by the shelf-lined room opposite the bath. The entire bedroom section can be closed off by the single door into the hall.

No. 6197—Casement windows provide virtually the entire wall area for the front and the two rear corners of this unusual five-room brick-veneered house. The interior planning adheres to traditional usage except that this house has far more closet and storage space than most plans of comparable size.

No. 6102—For the large window area which is one of the most distinctive features of this house a pleasant combination of stationary and casement sash is employed, bringing the advantages of the picture window to the center of the room and yet assuring ample ventilation. All the bedrooms have wardrobe-sized closets with by-passing doors for added convenience. The U-shaped kitchen has continuous counter space around the sink-range-refrigerator triangle, with room for a breakfast table. The partial basement extends only under the mid-section of the house.
