Two-level shopping in a year 'round climate controlled 72°. 75 stores surround this fabulous block-long Garden Court with its huge birdcage, fountains, sidewalk cafe, sculpture, tropical trees and flowers.

"Children on Stilts" by Louise Kruger of New York is one of several pieces of art commissioned expressly for fabulous Southdale.

Here's a great postcard of the famous Southdale Shopping Center in the opening year. We can see the main mall and its two first anchors Dayton's and Donaldson's.
